Exodus 15:22–27

A resting place on the way to Elim, with palms and water ahead. The Road pairs this imagined travel view with Exodus 15:22–27 and happy, upbeat instrumental music for a steady part of your day.

The Scene

Look from the edge of a travelers' camp toward the spring grove. Simple bedding, bags and water vessels belong close to the shaded seat; Charlie settles beside them. The view opens toward palms, water and a path through the camp.

Cultural Significance

Exodus 15:22–27 follows a difficult sequence: travel without water, the bitter water at Marah, instruction and testing, then arrival at Elim. The passage describes twelve springs and seventy palms, with the people camping near the water.

The scene draws its meaning from provision encountered during a journey. It holds the relief of reaching a place to stop without erasing the difficulty that came before it. The broader Exodus story links deliverance with a continuing life of trust and obedience.

This is an imagined arrival-side viewpoint rather than an identified route or recovered campsite. Camp layout, equipment and Charlie are creative details. The grove fills only part of the landscape; the frame is not intended to count every spring or palm mentioned in Scripture.
