Exodus 15:22–27

Rest beside the springs of Elim under a quiet night sky. This Lamplight sleep session follows Exodus 15:22–27 with a sheltered camp view and instrumental music.

The Scene

From beneath a woven shelter, look across spring water and palm fronds in dim night light. Bedding, travel bags and a waterskin sit close at hand. Charlie rests beside the belongings while the grove fills the view.

Cultural Significance

The journey from Egypt includes thirst and uncertainty as well as deliverance. Exodus 15 moves from three days without water, through the crisis at Marah, to a place where the people can camp beside water. Elim is described with twelve springs and seventy palm trees.

This scene rests within that pause in the journey. Water and shade are concrete provisions for a traveling community. The broader Exodus reading concerns learning to trust and listen after leaving Egypt. Elim is a distinct stop; the scene does not depict the later water from the rock or the camp at Sinai.

The precise oasis, equipment and nighttime view are an artistic reconstruction. Only one sheltered corner of the grove is shown, not a map of every spring and tree named in the passage.
