The Ancient Table

Privacy notice for The Ancient Table Media

Effective September 16, 2026

This notice describes the private desktop Google API integration operated by The Ancient Table. It applies to this publishing tool, not to unrelated services or general website activity.

Information accessed and its purpose

The YouTube connection accesses the authorized channel identity and video metadata, status and duration to check ownership, prevent duplicate uploads and verify completed releases. It transmits the original video and associated metadata selected by the operator to YouTube.

The Drive connection accesses the authorized account identity and file metadata, including file IDs, names, folders, sizes and checksums. Google’s metadata permission can cover metadata across the authorized Drive account; this tool limits its operational requests to the designated Ancient Table archive. A separate file permission supports uploads and files created or explicitly selected for this app.

Storage and access

OAuth credentials and refresh tokens are stored in private files on the operator’s Mac with restricted filesystem permissions. Transfer records retain file IDs, upload progress, checksums and verification results so interrupted work can resume safely. Original media and production records are stored on the operator’s computer and in the selected Google services.

The operator and owner-directed tools or assistants can access the publishing and verification records needed to complete the requested work. Tokens are not placed in public website files, videos or shared archive indexes.

Sharing and limited use

Selected media and metadata are sent to YouTube or Google Drive to perform the requested uploads and verification. Published videos and their selected titles, descriptions and thumbnails are visible to viewers; archive sharing follows the owner’s existing Drive settings. This integration does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train general-purpose AI models.

The Ancient Table Media follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its restrictions on data use and transfer. Google services also operate under their own applicable terms and privacy policies.

Retention, revocation and deletion

Credentials remain available until removed or revoked. The operator retains the archive and release records needed to manage the channel and backups. Access can be revoked through Google Account connections. Revoking access does not automatically remove videos already published on YouTube or files already saved to Drive; those are managed in the relevant service.

To request removal of locally retained credentials or API-derived records, contact hello@ancienttable.tv. The operator must handle the request before deletion is considered complete.
